All general meetings start at 7 PM and our Pot Luck dinner meetings. GPNA provides the main dish. You are asked to bring a small veggie or dessert dish.

All board meetings start at 6 PM.

All GPNA meetings are open to the public. And all meetings are held at the GPNA Center, 1094 E. Kentucky Street, 40204-1936

The date for the 2019 Chili Supper to be held with Amvet Post #1 has yet to be scheduled. Also there is a possibility of special called meetings taking place. The notifications for meetings and events not  yet scheduled can be found on the GermanParistown Facebook Page and also on our website at gpnalouisville.com. GPNA Board of Directors Meeting

Judy opened the meeting at 6:04 PM
Present were Steve, Judy, John G, Bruce, Mary, Kathleen D. and Kathleen E., Brenda, Laura. Mike M,
Bryce.
Guest: Jessica Morrison, LMPD
Board Minutes from April were read and approved. There is no Treasurer Report this month.
Jessica reported that property crimes are high right now, including theft from cars, however no violent
crimes occurred this past month. Jessica noted there are 7000 Homeless registered in the City this year.
Up from 2000 in 2016. As to Graffiti, if you own a building, you can get a mural painted on it and this
deters tagging. Do call 911 if you see tents pop up or incidents of public intoxication.
Voting sites at local churches were closed and new sites have been announced. Check your councilman’s
newsletter or go on line.
Mike reported on GSBA discussed potential events such as a Taste of Germantown. Also, under
consideration is a name change to Greater Germantown BA. A new brochure was passed around.
St Therese Church has approved our plan to erect a flagpole on the grounds. Richard Morris (RLM Bldg)
will do the work. We will dedicate it June 14.
Bryce wants to look into more consistency in the placement of stop signs in the neighborhood. He
proposes all be 4 way stops. He was advised to contact his councilperson to see if the necessary studies
can be done.
We noted the Logan Street Market would be opening first week of June and neighbors might consider
purchasing CSA shares through New Roots,Inc ,which will distribute there.
Mike updated us on property development in the area. Creosalus is to open July 15.
Bruce made a motion we advocate for Cycluvia to take place via the same route this year. Mary
seconded it and all approved.
GPNA honored the memory of Mike Davis by giving a check to Kathleen Davis,
Steve represented us at the CFN breakfast. He connected with numerous members, We authorized $300
to be donated to their fundraiser.
The Nominating Committee named a slate that would add Bryce, Bryce, Robert, Eric, and Kathleen E.,
Mel to the Board in June.
June 19 will be the soft opening of the Center for the Arts.
Wanda Mitchell was introduced as the new Administrative Assistant for Barbara Sexton-Smith.

Mary and Mike made and seconded a motion that Steve draft a letter to Pat Mulvihill and Barbara
Sexton Smith about our concerns regarding loss of core services in the Mayor’s budget. This was
approved.
Our next meeting will be the General Meeting and Board Election.
